Susan had been waiting for this for what seemed like forever. The series finale of her TV show she had been watching for some time. It was going to be a bittersweet moment because part of her routine was going to be ending. Mind you, she would get the answers to the questions that I had been plaguing her from the very beginning.
Would there be time for one final plot twist? Her noodles hung suspended halfway between bowl and mouth as she watched, hardly daring to breathe.
All too soon, it was over. It unceremoniously returned Susan to reality.
I wrote this inspired by this week’s fandango’s flash fiction challenge And this week’s writing Wednesday.
The best shows transport us to another place and/or time and engage us with the stories and characters. And when the series ends, it can be bittersweet as we say goodbye to people whose lives we’ve been inited to share.

Always bittersweet but the finale can make or break a series. Thank you for reading, hosting, and commenting.

I love binge watching shows. My daughter got me into Greys Anatomy, and I watched fourteen series in about three months. The end show is always bitter sweet, but there are always the re-runs.

Yeah, the reruns make everything worth it! One of my favourites is Buffy the Vampire Slayer because of course that never ended as the comics have continued the story 🙂 Thanks for reading and commenting.

No worries, I loved watching Buffy when it first aired, especially since I remember a very young David Boreanaz was Angel in Buffy and Booth in Bones. He is also in Seal, which is also a really good show.
