For this week’s song lyric Sunday Jim has challenged us to find lyrics containing brutal/frenzy/savage/violent. I have chosen the word frenzy and the song may have chosen is by Siouxsie and the Banshees. They called it blow your house down.

It is my opinion that this song is about nuclear war – the lyrics “waiting for the flash to crash, counting seconds before we turn to ash” and the date 1984, depth of the cold war…
I am sure people have many ideas about what this song could mean. You also have the direct references to the Wicker man and maybe the countdown before turning to ash is referring to the man that was trapped there to die in fire.
Completely open to interpretation 🙂
