Oh here we go with the start of yet another week. Yes, it is a Monday all over again and so it is time for my Monday journal.
I have probably been a bit quiet on my blog, because the story a day challenge is over. Maybe I should actually try and post something each day as compensation, rather than the more sporadic posts that I have been doing. The challenges always seem to be either on a Tuesday or a Sunday, I will probably try and spread out my writing for those.
Mind you, it is not like I am doing nothing because I am actually celebrating at the moment. My work in progress has actually managed to reach the dizzy heights of 60,000 words! I will be using NaNoWriMo this year to try and finish at least the first draft, if not to start the wonderfully daunting editing process. Wish me luck 🙂
My Scrivener updated today, and I was quite upset to find that the Windows version still does not allow you to put in a deadline for your work. Not that my work actually has a deadline, but I would still like to be able to push myself to do that little bit more by adding some pressure to the situation. Yes, I am one of those strange people that actually seems to do the work when there is a looming deadline. I don’t know what it is, but I work a lot better under some kind of pressure. It would have been handy to have had that within Scrivener, but it just did not happen.
Maybe I should just buy a Mac 🙂
I am sure that I once told you all that I used to write fanfiction. Well, somebody asked me about one of my old pieces and I went off to go and find it. I have not seen this for at least five years, probably a lot more… I can’t actually remember when I updated on Mibba on a daily basis. Although I do remember that MySpace was involved at the time. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I actually realised that the writing in it was actually not that bad. Maybe I should actually get back to writing some fanfiction, what kind of fanfiction would you like to see, if anything?
Well, there is not much else to tell you to get you up to speed with what is going on. Things are just ticking over nicely, as there is nothing really that I have got to plan for in the near future. Not yet anyway, although I am looking at trips to go and see the Northern lights which is something that is on my bucket list. Of course, I will keep you updated on that one!
So, I guess that is it for another week… Remember, if you want to know anything then do not hesitate to get in touch with me and I will answer you as soon as I possibly can.
