They clutched at each other, but all panic had faded. Instead quiet acceptance filled that final hold. Love had swept over them, but the marriage ceremony had sealed their fate. Fishermen passed nets overhead, trapping lovers. The vow spoken was until death would they part. They had banked on longer.
