Never wear a hat indoors.
I press my hat firmly to my head and smile. I glance at the busy sidewalk outside of the window before turning my attention towards my journal. I don’t care what people think about me while I am furiously scribbling in my book.
Rules are meant to be broken, after all. It is not like I am bothered about the so-called rules of fashion, anyway. This is my lucky hat, and besides, it goes with my outfit. They made hats to be worn, so I am doing just that. Anyway, I make my own style.
I wrote this inspired by this week’s fandango’s flash fiction challenge and writing Wednesday.
