“Oh my God!” I pushed my hands against the car window as we were travelling down some random road in Arizona.,. “I have a great idea for a TikTok video. Thing is, I need to pull over right now to get out the car and do it.”
My mother was used to my requests and did as I asked. “Okay, now, what do you need me to do?”
I throw her my phone so she could film it. “Captain, I confirm landfall.”
“Cut!”
“What?”
“You know what would make this better?” She produced my Star Trek uniform.
“You’re the best!”
