
Brian stared out the window. His thoughts were all over the place, and he did not know which feeling took precedence in his mind. So much that happened over the past week and he did not quite know where he stood anymore.
He knew it was perfectly safe to go outside and mix with the people he had once known as friends. There was a moral duty, however, that held him back. Brian did not want to endanger anybody else.
His wife, currently in the freezer, was the thing holding him back, even though her words when no longer able.
