“You are probably wondering about the name,” the tour guide announced as she poked a finger at the sign. “I can tell you it is not the original name of this as it used to be Maple Hall. The name is a relatively new edition, created in 1966 by the new owner.”
“I assume it is something to do with word usage. Did the owner not know who his father was?”
“You assume wrongly,” the tour guide smiled. “The new owner was in fact Samuel Bastard. He doesn’t own it now, but the Ottoman family has a sense of humour!”
