Song lyric Sunday – Go/Come/Leave/Stay

For this week’s song lyric Sunday challenge we have been given the prompts come/go/leave/stay. I have chosen leave out all the rest by Linkin Park.

I have always liked this song, although I don’t really know why it quickly became one of my favourite tracks by this band. I think it must be something to do with the simple melody that does not contain any of their heavy bits like ramping or even screaming.

Of course, when Chester Bennington committed suicide it took on very different meaning. It is still a lovely song, and one I will often play. This is probably why it was the first thing that came into my mind when I read that prompt.

Enjoy!

  1. Angie Linkin Park‘s music has long explored themes of alienation, inner demons and personal suffering, making the suicide of the band’s lead singer Chester Bennington an especially tragic and heavy loss. Thanks for sharing this song today.
