SPF: House arrest

There was no water or any food available in small room that we found ourselves in. Quite what me and my brother had done to get locked in here in the first place was unknown. Things were looking bleak until I noticed the small crack underneath the window. I gestured towards my brother, “I think I can get that open if you come and help.”

He gave me a nod and together we set to work. It eventually opened and Dylan started gasping in that amazing fresh air.

Me? I was looking to make sure it would be safe for both of us to jump out and scramble to safety. It was, and I breathed a sigh of relief. At long last, we would be free of the room they had trapped us in for ever.

Okay, so it had only been 10 minutes but that clearly showed we had been abandoned.

I wrote this in response to this week’s Sunday photo fiction challenge.
