Written for flash fiction for the purposeful practitioner.
Alison walked towards the mounted police officers with confidence. She has some pieces of apple in her hands, which she fed to the horses. One of the policemen ignored her but the other one motioned so she could come round the side to talk to him.
“Hey there, I see that you have no fear of these animals. You must work with horses every day.”
“Why should I fear a police animal? I mean, it trains them to be around humans. Even your dogs would never attack without permission.”
The police officer smiled. “In theory, yes. However, this was to have your hands on is called Psycho. Watch yourself!”
She dropped her hands and stepped backwards. From now on, she would ask the horse’s name for putting her hand near its mouth.
