Share your world – 15 October 2019

This is not my usual type of post, as I keep my personal life to myself, but then these questions are not too deeply probing and the interest me. Also, I have gone from a normal day of writing to write a short story about spiders! (Don’t even ask!) So, I have taken part in this share your world challenge.

Why do we have such trouble telling our loved ones that we love them?  Do you have that kind of communication issue with your loved ones?

I don’t really have that level of communication with any of my loved ones but I am sure that they know where they stand. Not only that, but I think actions speak volumes rather than just words. Also, I have two cats that I would consider being loved ones and you can’t really communicate that to a cat!

Decorations for holidays?   Spirit lifters or pain in the butt?   Or a mix?

Strange question because to me really depends on the holiday. For example, I love Halloween and getting the decorations ready on the day. One year I think I do go to America to see Halloween is really done because it is not quite the big thing in the UK. I love to see the imagination people put into their costumes when they come round. I am not so big on Christmas as it is so commercial these days. I like to see the tree, but I am not really a fan of Christmas music!

Do you donate to charities?  Of your time, do you feel money is the only true gift, or other?

I am a medically retired individual living under a Conservative government in the United Kingdom. Any income I receive is quickly taken away by the council. So, no, I don’t give to charity. I believe that time is worth more. My cats, for example, come from cat protection because I think that rescuing a cat is better than buying a certain breed.

Are you too superstitious or  have you ever played with a Ouija Board?

I am definitely not superstitious and believe that I would probably do this. However, I have never once had the opportunity to do so.

  1. Thank you so much for Sharing Your World, Angie! It’s always grand to see a new face! 🙂 I try to find questions that aren’t too invasive of personal space (privacy is a big deal to me too). And it’s been interesting to find out that ‘across the pond’ over there, Halloween isn’t the big huge honking deal it is here in America. Odd (to me), because honestly I can remember when Halloween wasn’t as big a deal as it is now. But the same goes for Cinco de Mayo (Fifth of May) or St. Patrick’s Day. Thank you for stopping in and participating! 🙂

    1. LOL, we don’t celebrate Cinco de Mayo at all over here! Mind you, Sam Patrick’s day is an excuse to get drunk so it is bigger here than St George’s Day… Go figure! I was happy to participate 🙂 I hope to do so on a regular basis. (Maybe with a less dark featured image, LOL) thank you for reading and commenting.
