Hello everybody and welcome to another Writing Wednesday. The idea of this is I am going to write about whatever subject has inspired me this week.

What am I going to use as my inspiration this week?

The word… Technology.

Artificial intelligence

While they were running the college professor turned to his student. “I told you not to try and build artificial intelligence. Have you learnt nothing in your time here?”

The student almost stopped, but the loud crash behind her meant that He Kept running next to the professor. “I have paid attention to everything you said. It was due to this that I thought I would be able to do things differently. You know so it wouldn’t go bad.”

The professor shook his head in disbelief. “There is not a way for it not to go bad. You would have created it to be like us, right? Well, there is your problem. Inherently, we are all power hungry and will always prey on a thing that is weaker than us. The thing is, safer artificial intelligence would not be intelligent. We are talking about things that were before any kind of knowledge about technology. This is why I said never to try it.”

Another crash sounded behind them before the student reluctantly took a remote from her pocket. When the button was pushed there was an explosion as her creation was destroyed. “Sorry,” she remarked as she skidded to a halt.

He put a tentacle on her shoulder. “I suggest you go back and reread the history of the fate of people from earth. We are supposed to be the evolved species. Start behaving like it, youngling.”
