This is the story about a seemingly ordinary girl who is set on a very unusual path when she is in a car accident which should have been fatal but she somehow survived. She is severely injured and laying in the hospital where everybody expects her to die. A team of specialists arrives to do some tests and at this point they basically kidnap her and hide her away from the rest of the world.

When she wakes up she is completely recovered and she discovers she has gone through what they refer to as the change and is now unbounded. This is not quite the same as being immortal as they do age and die eventually although this takes centuries.

Erin discovers that there are two groups within the unbounded and she has to make a choice about which one to join. Both of them want her because of her developed talent which is sensing emotions and can affect the minds of others. While she is trying to make this impossible decision she also discovers that there are hunters that want nothing more than to see the unbounded dead.

This is the first book in a series and so it is full of information about everything that is going on. However, there are plenty of twists and turns some of which are completely unexpected. You will find yourself engrossed in the story and waiting to find out what exactly is going to happen. I was quite surprised to find out just how gripping this piece of writing was. I will definitely be on the lookout for the rest of the series.

The writing in this is very easy to read and will definitely hold your interest. I gave this book 5/5 stars and would recommend it to pretty much anybody. Whether you are the fan of the paranormal or not you should be able to enjoy this book on the many levels that it transcends.
