This week’s photo prompt is provided by Sunayana with MoiPensieve. Thank you Su!
We were driving along in our motorcycle gang trying to look threatening. The authorities were trying to shut us down but, being natural rebels, we were against these restrictions on our lives. It is not like we were doing anybody any harm in our day-to-day lives. I mean, we were not exactly a gang of criminals planning our next move. We were just guys. Guys who liked bikes. We were like a brotherhood.
The tough guy image melted away, however, when we turned into a road to discover that the Christmas lights still adorned the street. We looked up in amazement at the surprise decorations only to discover that they were not really Christmas decorations but the public coming out in support of their community members.
They applauded as we passed and we raised our gloved hands in a salute.

What a great feeling it would be to be surprised by the applause of the community praising you! That is a wonderful thing for a community to do. Great story, Angie!

Bikers have a bad reputation, if only they were like this group. Nice take.

There are a good few that are probably just like this. Just a group of people who like bikes. Thanks for reading.

Ohh, I thought of BACA when I read this piece – a real-life biker gang that protects children. It’s always good to see the human side of these bikers, and your story reminded me of it!

Cute story Angie. Shows us no one should be judged because of the image through give off or because they’re just doing what they want to do (not hurting or harming anyone). Nice the community noticed their presence and respected it š
