This week’s photo prompt is provided by Grant-Sud. Thank you Grant for our photo prompt!
The sheer beauty of the canyon had brought me to my knees. I had arrived with a group but they had long since retreated back to where they had come from. All except me.
Now I was just sitting looking at everything before me and completely embracing my solitude in that particular moment. The only noise was that made by the wildlife which suited me right then.
It reminded me of why I’d come here. I was going to stand by the aboriginals and fight against that pipeline.
In my heart, I was one of them and I was home.

Great story Angie! Also, very topical! I hope they win against the pipeline!

Nice take Angie, it would be nice if we stopped destroying the natural world, without people having to go to such lengths to defend it.

I have seen several pipe lines under the ground, but they continue to intrude. With vents and pumping stations etc. Great story

You don’t have to be born an aboriginal in order to recognise the importance of protecting the natural world. A wonderfully topical story, Angie. Nicely done. 🙂
