This week’s photo prompt is provided by Maria with Doodles and Scribbles. Thank you Maria!
She had promised herself that there would be no regrets. However, as the door closed softly and the darkness of the night seemed to swirl around her, Sarah found her head full of all of the doubts that she had been wrestling with all day.
This was going to be for the best. It was almost as though she had been left with no choice. On her own, .she was finding her freedom. Free to make her own decisions. Free to be friends with whoever she wanted. Free to see her family.
Crossing her fingers, Sarah stepped into the darkness.

Excellent Angie! Stepping into the unknown of this new found freedom is certainly like stepping into the darkness. Great story!

Sounds like she will be much better where she is going than where she has been. Excellent take on the photo.

The “free to see her family” line really caught me and changed my interpretation because at first I thought she was running away from her family — very interesting twist!
