FFfAW: Bright side

This week’s photo prompt is provided by TJ Paris. Thank you TJ!

The day my father had informed me that I was going to be married wasn’t exactly the happiest day of my life. In reality, I had screamed about how unfair everything was just because I happened to be born a girl.

My father had sat me down and spoke to me calmly about how the man did not have any choice when it came to marriage. An arranged marriage was simply a way family gained power and nothing more.

However, when I walked into my new home and was escorted to the library I began to see the bright side.

  1. Arranged marriage doesn’t sound good, but It’s a good sign her new husband has this big library, enjoys reading. At least, she’ll have a place she feels at home and can get a way too. Nice take Angie.

      1. Haha. Yes its’ true. I know when I’m meeting guys or dating, I’m always impressed when the guy says he likes to read books. I honestly, don’t care what kind. That he reads is in his favour 🙂

  2. Access to a well-stocked library can make anything a lot more palatable! Hopefully she and her new husband can bond over a shared love of books and knowledge. 🙂 Great story, Angie.
