FFfAW: English summer

Darren looked at the sky and cursed audibly. It was just typical. It had been sunny for the entire week, lovely weather to go outside in. just as the weekend arrived so did the black clouds. No doubt it was going to bring the rain pouring down, which would try and ruin yet another of his weekend barbecues.

He was certainly not going to be discouraged by yet another soggy weekend. He had certainly learnt his lessons over the past few weeks, and now he was determined that he was going to get the better of the English summer.

The barbecue got dragged under the shelter of the overhanging roof, and all of the tables were set up in the living room of his house, out of the splash zone.

Darren had to laugh because this was going to be one party that the weather was not going to ruin!

  1. Planning is the key! I love how you’ve suitably detached the story a little from the photo. Too often I get distracted into describing what I see so I’m learning from you. Intelligent and inspirational.
