Monday journal

Here we are, the beginning of yet another week. Yes, it is time for my weekly journal that keeps everybody up to date with what I am doing.

The quick answer to that would be, not a great deal. This is probably going to be a very short entry this week, because there is a distinct lack of things that I believe you would need to be caught up on.

Writing wise, I have been doing some challenges, but everything has been going slow recently with my work in progress. Mind you, I always have November and NaNoWriMo to try and get myself into gear and finish at least the first draft. Fingers crossed anyway, but I know that everything seems to get thrown at me when I try to do these writing months. You know, appointments, people coming over, be below arranging trips for me to go on, and just general everyday life. So, I always start the months with the best of intentions but end up getting nowhere! I aim to do a bit better this time, and I’m using my blog to try a mark my progress in the hope that this will be encouragement enough.

I am enjoying the challenges though, and believe I have finally mastered the art of flash fiction! I am sure that I still have plenty to learn on that. Mind you, I am enjoying learning and that has to be the most important thing.

Speaking of challenges, I was even thinking about hosting my own. However, nobody seemed to be really interested in that which was a shame.

There are also a few book reviews that I really need to get round to doing.

One thing at a time though.

Personally, I am one step closer to achieving one of my goals. Yes, I am about to book a cruise that will enable me to see the Northern lights. Well, I will be in the right place but of course there is no guarantee on the actual lights themselves. Hopefully, by the end of February, this will be ticked on my list of things I need to do! That’s right, my bucket list. I would love to know what is in your list, so feel free to share!

I really appreciate your comments, so do not hesitate to leave me any, on WordPress, Facebook, or even email 🙂

Okay, that is it for another week! See you next week.

    1. Thank you for saying that 🙂 I was never any good at writing flash fiction, but am really enjoying doing it now and find myself thinking that a word count might be to high! This is a big change for me.
As for November, I hope that we will see better luck for writing. I have done this one, as well as the camps, and have never once hit that target! Let’s hope it’s practice makes perfect. Good luck vibes heading your way for the month 🙂

      1. I struggled with flash fiction too. I used to be super long winded. I think the challenges have helped me a lot.
Thanks for the good vibes! I wish you the same.
